Refuge in Genre

Whoever said rock was a young man's game never heard Hank IV. This team of underground and punk vets released their sophomore album REFUGE IN GENRE in 2008, and it's so filled with energy and righteous fury, you'd be hard pressed to guess these boys are pushing middle age. Hank IV's distorted, burnt-to-a-crisp noise punk is punctuated by dirty guitar hooks and the scorched ranting of singer Bob McDonald; yet paddling against the album's stream of aural battery acid is a very obvious sense of fun. Indeed, it's doubtful these guys would bother doing what they're doing if they weren't completeley enjoying themselves.
