Person to Person

"Romantic" isn't a word used very often to describe indie bands, but the Los Angeles-based Foreign Born makes shambolic rock with a sweeping, heart-rending expressiveness that never dips into melodrama. On their second full-length album, they distinguish themselves with fine melodies and that tribal yet lilting drum sound that recalls '90s shoegaze, without the excess gloss.
