Two years since their last album, Forget the Night Ahead, Scottish indie rockers the Twilight Sad embark on new territory with No One Can Ever Know. Citing influences such as Cabaret Voltaire, Can, and Autechre, the record diverges from the band's shoegaze-style wall-of-sound leanings to adopt a more industrial-influenced approach. To capture this cold, aggressive mood, the Twilight Sad produced the album with assistance from influential British producer Andrew Weatherall (Primal Scream, Beth Orton), employing instrumentation like vintage analog synthesizers from Depeche Mode producer Ben Hillier.
