Reggae impresario Bunny Lee was one of the driving forces behind shifts in the early developments of the sound and culture of Jamaican music. Working closely with almost every big name of '60s and '70s reggae, he produced or otherwise had a hand in the recording of hundreds of classic tracks. Agro Sounds 101 Orange Street collects a cross-section of ska and early rocksteady tunes put to tape at his Argo Sounds studio between 1968 and 1971. These sharp, edgy tracks include long-buried material from classic reggae artists like Max Romeo and Delroy Wilson, as well as fantastic sides from Derrick Morgan and Winston Williams. ~ Fred Thomas
