Following the surprise success of his exclusive for eMusic demo compilation KEEPERS (2008), Randolph Chabot has assembled a full band lineup for MOONDAGGER, the laptop-troubadour's second full-length as Deastro. Leaving behind the rough-around-the-edges DIY edge of his bedroom demo recordings for the more polished, slick indietronica of groups like M83 and Mobius Band, the album features a dreamy rush of ensemble synths, celestial melodies, and breathless vocals delivered with childlike exuberance by Chabot on the shoegazery "Biophelia" and the plucky synth pop rave-up "Vermillion Plaza."
