Moon of Neptune

Kellarissa's second solo full-length begins on an interesting note, with a chugging indie-electronic pop song built around her multi-tracked vocals. From there, the entire affair gets even more intriguing, focused as always on her spectral and beautiful voice, but venturing much farther out, into tone poetry that utilizes hypnotic organ and electronics, even including a cover of Sun Ra ("Satellites Are Spinning," from his 1974 film Space Is the Place). ~ John Bush
