Traditional Fools

Short-lived Bay Area garage thrashers the Traditional Fools existed briefly in the late 2000s, making just one album and serving as a prequel to the sound of one of their main members, Ty Segall. Segall found international success with his solo work, but the Traditional Fools' self-titled album sold out quickly in its first edition. In 2013, In the Red Records re-pressed the album of summery, lighthearted surf-tinged garage rock, including covers of Redd Kross and Thee Headcoats, bands that were influential to the S.F. gnarlers' sound.
