Tapper Roots is the seventh album by roots reggae artist and deejay Tapper Zukie, and also one of five full-length albums under his name that saw release during a very productive phase in 1978. The album was recorded at King Tubby's studios and mixed by Prince Jammy, giving a particularly dubby touch to Zukie's fluid deejay routines, particularly on semi-psychedelic moments like "First Street Rock." ~ Fred Thomas
