I'll Be the Tornado

I'll Be the Tornado is the second LP by indie emo-punk duo Dads. Since their formation in 2010, guitarist Scott Scharinger and drummer John Bradley have dished out an intriguing array of thoughtful, angular, aggressive, and occasionally witty tunes over the course of three EPs and one full-length release. Working with producer Neil Strauch in Chicago, they've crafted another solid ten-song affair here, adding more variety and depth than on previous releases. Dads in name only, the two New Jersey-bred musicians relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, continuing their wayward journey toward adulthood with their most mature work yet. ~ Timothy Monger
