Grand 12-Inches, Vol. 2

Ben Liebrand's second four-disc compilation of unmixed dance music -- like the first, heavy on the disco and post-disco eras with a little house music thrown in -- features another fine balance between commercial and underground material. Nothing but full-length, 12", or remixed versions here -- no single edits. Among the most notable selections are Telex's "Moskow Diskow," Hugh Masekela's "Don't Go Lose It Baby" (the 1984 version with the rap), Blondie's "Rapture," David Joseph's "You Can't Hide (Your Love from Me)," and Dan Hartman's "Vertigo/Relight My Fire" (all 12 minutes of it). As with the other volumes in the series, this is legitimate, released by a catalog division of Sony Music in the Netherlands. ~ Andy Kellman
