White-boy blues somehow sounds more authentic when it's done like this: naive and punky and distorted, reveling in the history of a thousand nights in the mosh pit. Nashville's Black Diamond Heavies do it right, with nasty but sincere organ-driven howlers and stompers, and, like the Black Keys and White Stripes, a surprisingly full sound for a duo.
