Clues

Clues is the brainchild of Alden Penner and Brendan Reed, who retired to Montreal to collaborate on this 11-track album after the dissolution of Penner's previous group, the Unicorns. Though the narcotic mid-tempo grooves of CLUES miss some of the unruly grandeur of the Unicorns, fans of Penner's slightly skewed take on classic pop song structures ought to find much to enjoy here.
