Grubbs and his co-conspirators, who include the keyboardist Matmos as well as Grubbs's old bandmate John McEntire, construct a set of impressionistic pieces that includes the gentle, semi-psychedelic "A Dream to Help Me Sleep," the spare, meditative "I Did No Such Roaming," and the brooding, ambient "Crevasse," all of which add up to a lively display of some extraordinarily sympathetic talents.
