Orange Is the New Black

Like the show itself, the soundtrack to Jenji Kohan (creator of Weeds) series Orange Is the New Black features an eclectic cast of characters. From the driving energy of Regina Spektor's Grammy-nominated theme song "You've Got Time," to the down and dirty funk of Betty Davis' "Walking Up the Road," to the drifting melodies of the Velvet Underground's "Sunday Morning, the soundtrack feels as though it has a lot of stories to tell. While it's a stellar accompaniment to the Peabody Award-winning show, it has the kind of variety that all good mixtapes have, showing off the personality of the show and its characters with every track. ~ Gregory Heaney
