Open Your Eyes

Basically, the Bright Coloured Lights were a post-Black Tambourine project that lasted only three songs before disbanding after a brief studio session. And that's a shame, because Open Your Eyes contains a formula of soothing, feedback-laced dream pop that follows where their previous band left off. Melodic, relaxing but attentive in that My Bloody Valentine sort of way, mad props go out to Slumberland Recordings for giving this EP another chance to be heard beyond the couple of hundred kids who originally bought this back in 1992. ~ Mike DaRonco
