Lil' Son Jackson

Arhoolie's Lil' Son Jackson is a good colleciton of material Jackson recorded for the label in the early '60s, during the height of the blues revival. In many ways, these recordings are better than his original '40s sessions, since they capture him in a clean, well-recorded setting performing his best songs quite powerfully. The result is a minor gem and an excellent country-blues record. ~ Leo Stanley
