The 2000s resurrection of the Kill Rock Stars label continued in awesome fashion with Panther's full-length debut 14 KT. GOD, a near-perfect debut that marries the weirdo noise-funk of the Liars with a West Coast sensibility. Surprisingly, Panther's miasmic grooves are the handiwork of only two people--Charlie Salas-Humara and Joe Kelley--who layer cello scrapes, bass runs, keyboard burbles, and beats like the millennial indie answer to the JBs.
