I Forgive Nothing

The debut solo long player from alt-folk trio Holmes' frontman Kristoffer Bolander, I Forgive Nothing offers up an atmospheric blend of propulsive dream rock and classic Swedish singer/songwriter melancholy pop that invokes names like Jose Gonzalez, Jonsi, Coldplay, and even Neil Young. Propelled by Bolander's emotive and often angelic voice, the 12-track LP draws inspiration from the work of modernist polymath Samuel Beckett, and was recorded and tracked mostly live in just six days at Nacksving Studios in Gothenburg with the help of Holmes' lap steel guitarist Johan Björklund and his brother, drummer Michael Björklund. ~ James Christopher Monger
