Hailing from Canterbury, home of a host of 1960s experimental and progressive rock bands, the U.K. group Yndi Halda (Icelandic for "Enjoy eternal bliss") plays a kind of ecstatic and meditative instrumental post-rock that evokes rural idylls and pastoral pursuits. It's warmer and more emotionally connected than that of their chillier Icelandic counterparts, the ambient electronica band Sigur Ros, to whom they have been compared.
