Blue Marble

Sagittarius was the studio-only baroque-pop project of producers/songwriters Gary Usher and Curt Boettcher, who had worked with everyone from the Beach Boys to the Association. Their first album, PRESENT TENSE, bore the hit "My World Fell Down," but the lesser-known follow-up, THE BLUE MARBLE, is filled with just as much sparkling orchestral pop magic as its predecessor. Covers of the Beach Boys ("In My Room") and Harry Nilsson ("I Guess The Lord Must Be in New York City") further underline the golden L.A. pop era in which Sagittarius was immersed.
