Specializing in reissues for the casual collector, Sundazed gives Gram Parsons's first stab at country rock, the International Submarine Band, their classic treatment on this lovingly packaged four-song EP in stunning mono. Highlighting two Parsons originals--"Blue Eyes" and the exquisite "Luxury Liner"--on Side A, and two country covers--Jack Clement's "Miller's Cave" and Merle Haggard's "I Must Be Somebody Else You've Known"--on Side B, this set collects the two singles the L.A. quartet recorded for Lee Hazlewood's LHI imprint in 1967. Predating their full-length, SAFE AT HOME, the single on this EP capture the very first time Parsons's mash of long-haired sensibilities, post-Beatles rock, and honky-tonk was committed to tape.
