Behold the Failure

There are bands that use aspects of grindcore to spice up their sound, and there are bands that have no interest but playing the hardest, loudest grind they possibly can. The Swiss powergrinders Mumakil belong to the latter. Their second full-length, BEHOLD THE FAILURE, is no reference to their own achievements, as its 27 tracks of brutalizing noise terror are a rousing success in the art of straight-ahead destruction. Minute-long blasts like "Get Wasted or Die" and "Daily Punishment" self-immolate on pure intensity, burning hot and fast and leaving nothing in their wake. They're picking up the torch for defunct groups like Nasum.
