Unsound

Mission of Burma's fifth studio album, their third since reuniting in 2002 after a nearly 20-year absence, finds the Boston-based post-punk legends on a new label, Fire Records, after parting ways with Matador. The resulting Unsound is steeped in the raw, ramshackle spirit that guided the group through previous outings, and finds Roger Miller, Clint Conley, Peter Prescott, and Bob Weston stepping outside of their comfort zones (experimenting with different instruments and playing styles), and ultimately expanding the group's already shape-shifting sound into something even more mercurial.
